Planning the Installation Work
Lambeth Lighting Services, David Webster Limited and your Council want to ensure
that any inconvenience is kept to a minimum. Work will be carried out during
normal working hours (between 8am and 6pm) Monday to Friday, although
occasionally it may be necessary to work at the weekends, however we do try
to keep this to a minimum. You will be notified by letter, together
with contact details for any queries you may have, a minimum of five weeks
prior to the start of the works.
This work has been planned and co-ordinated with public utilities and other bodies to ensure the programme is carried out as efficiently as possible. The local electricity company will carry out connections to the new columns. Old columns will be disconnected and removed for recycling soon afterwards. A yellow painted circle on the ground with the letters L/C will mark the locations of the new columns.
The Council and DW want to keep you informed of when works will be taking place in your area.

proposed installation plan showing works planned by street
and month can be viewed by clicking

What you can do to help
Help save energy and avoid accidents – lamp posts should not be on during daylight hours. If you would like to play your part in conserving energy, then please report lights that are on during the day.
Emergency Reporting – exposed wires or a collapsed lamp post can be very dangerous. Please report these to the number below so our
staff can deal with the request immediately.
You can call us on 020 7978 3423 or email t&hcallcentre@lambeth.gov.uk.
Our Service Standards
If you report a faulty street light, we will repair it within five working days.
If a light is not working because the electricity supply has failed, the repair is the responsibility of the electricity supplier
EDF Energy. EDF Energy will generally reinstate a supply within ten working days.
